Isla van Tricht is a theatre, TV, and film writer based in London. She is represented by Alex Bloch at 42.
 
Her work has been produced in London (incl.  Southwark Playhouse, The Roundhouse, King’s Head Theatre, The Other Palace, VAULT Festival), off-Broadway, New York City (59E59 Theaters) and across the UK (incl. Nottingham Playhouse, Manchester Hope Mill, Plymouth Barbican).
 
Her recent work includes Becoming Electra (UK Tour, **** WEE REVIEW), and TITS ‘N’ TEETH (Underbelly, **** THE SCOTSMAN).
 
Her work has been shortlisted for the George Devine Award (2025) longlisted for The Bruntwood Prize, Verity Bargate Award and Papatango Playwriting Prize.

She currently has four original TV series and two feature films in active development as well as a short film for which she is writer/director.


She also delivers playwriting workshops to schools, youth groups and youth theatre programmes across the UK, in person and virtually.

Alongside writing, Isla delivers talks and workshops across the UK to students and parents on PSHE/RSE topics for the past 5 years. For more information click here.

Isla studied an MA in Text and Performance (Playwriting pathway) at RADA in 2014 – 2015. She co-founded theatre company Shrapnel Theatre Ltd and served as artistic director until June 2016
